Why Deveraux

The Deveraux Group of Companies is a leader in property development and management. The Deveraux Group consists of three primary companies : Deveraux Asset Management, Deveraux Apartment Communities, and Deveraux Developments. We pride ourselves on vertical integration and our capacity to offer end-to-end multi-family investment opportunities. Our build, own, operate, and optimize model allows us to provide best-in-class properties and services that enrich resident lifestyles while delivering sustainable returns to investors.

Recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, Deveraux is committed to employee engagement, professional growth, and continued success. With more than $2.5 billion in assets under management, we are one of Western Canada’s fastest-growing multi-family housing developers and property managers.

If you are a motivated, results-driven individual looking for a career with impact, this role offers challenge, growth, and fulfillment.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a high-energy Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic property management team. In this role, you will be the face of Deveraux Apartment Communities, guiding prospective residents through the entire lead-to-lease journey, from initial inquiry to signed lease. Your focus will be on converting leads into residents by showcasing available apartment homes, highlighting community features, and delivering exceptional customer service.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing role and has a passion for real estate, sales, and creating strong relationships.

Please note that this role will require evening and weekend availability to accommodate prospective residents.

What we offer...

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Comprehensive Benefits : Coverage for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Retirement Savings Plan : Employer-matched RRSP contributions and a Deferred Profit-Sharing Plan (DPSP).
  • Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) : Providing resources to support well-being.
  • Career development support in a transparent and rewarding workplace
  • Employee rental discounts
  • A collaborative culture where your contributions are valued and your growth is supported

What you bring...

  • Experience : Minimum 2 years in leasing, sales, or a customer service role, preferably in residential property management
  • Sales Focus : Proven ability to close deals and exceed leasing targets
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills; a professional and engaging demeanor
  • Organization : Ability to manage a high volume of leads, schedule appointments, and follow up effectively
  • Technology : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of Yardi or other property management software is an asset
  • Customer Service : Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for creating great resident experiences
  • Flexibility : Willingness to work evenings and weekends to accommodate prospective residents
  • Transportation : Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • You will...

  • Manage the Lead-to-Lease Process : Respond to inquiries, schedule and conduct property tours, follow up with leads, and guide applicants through to signed leases
  • Showcase Apartments : Conduct in-person and virtual tours, effectively highlighting unit features, community amenities, and lifestyle benefits
  • Drive Leasing Results : Consistently meet or exceed leasing goals through follow-up, relationship-building, and prospect engagement
  • Complete Leasing Documents : Accurately prepare lease agreements, application forms, and other required documents
  • Contribute to Marketing Efforts : Assist in executing leasing campaigns and initiatives to generate traffic and increase occupancy
  • Maintain Accurate Records : Track leads, lease conversions, and follow-ups in CRM / leasing software to ensure data accuracy
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service : Build rapport with prospects and residents to ensure satisfaction, retention, and positive community reputation
  • Stay Market-Aware : Keep informed of competitor offerings, local market trends, and pricing strategies
  • Support the Team : Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment and assist as needed in daily operations
  • Additional Information

Please note that this role will require evening and weekend availability to accommodate prospective residents.

You must be legally eligible to work in Canada (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check.

The Deveraux Group of Companies is an Equal Opportunity employer. We foster a diverse and inclusive workplace where individuals, regardless of disability, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, race, color, religion, age, nationality, or ethnic origin, have equitable access to opportunities for employment, professional opportunities and advancement. Our recruitment practices are merit-based, ensuring that every candidate is evaluated fairly based on their qualifications, skills, and potential to positively impact our team. Embracing diversity is integral to our organizational ethos, creating a culture where diverse perspectives contribute to our ongoing success and drive innovation.
