Job descriptionMonitor print production for quality, color accuracy, and resolution. Create and manage distribution of signage and marketing materials. Provide design iterations tailored to different store formats and audiences. Maintain communication with printers to ensure project specifications, budget, and timelines are met. Ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining quality standards. Support retail and visual merchandising teams with internal documents and processes. Prepare quarterly merchandising line plans and product index documents. Assist in creating monthly field guides and window directives for store teams. Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years' experience in retail apparel or similar industry. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Strong knowledge of print design, typography, layout, and color theory. Experience in retail or fashion industry preferred. Ability to understand and align with brand vision and seasonal direction. Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple deadlines. Effective communication skills across departments. Knowledge of apparel design, garment construction, and fashion cycles is a plus.

Nature & Scope
Your Role at Roots
As a Graphic Designer (1-Year Contract), your role is pivotal in shaping visual elements that embody and elevate the brand's identity across print and digital mediums, with a focus on retail / visual merchandising. Your designs will captivate customers and streamline operational efficiency through improved brand graphics and internal documents.
Key Responsibilities → How You’ll Make An Impact
Design Responsibilities :
- Develop signage for stores, maintaining brand consistency and visual appeal to effectively communicate our brand's message, values, and identity.
- Create customer-facing materials such as in-store signage and pop graphics.
- Design operational documents including field guides, index pages, and distribution materials.
- Conduct regular design audits by visiting Roots and competitor stores to stay updated on industry trends and improve design quality.
- Identify opportunities to enhance in-store design and communication, exploring innovative print (2D / 3D) and digital solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to brainstorming sessions for brand storytelling.
- Assist in evolving the Roots style guide and brand voice, focusing on typography, color, and layout.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
