Design Strategist / Design Strategist
Zu.com Communications Inc.Saskatoon, Division No. 11, CA- Full-time
The Design Strategist is a trusted advisor to clients and a collaborative partner to cross-functional teams, guiding projects from discovery through execution. You begin by asking the right questions, digging into research, aligning to strategy, and uncovering the “why” before shaping solutions that are thoughtful, usable, and visually compelling. Leveraging expertise across user research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design, you translate insights into human-centered solutions that deliver real value. Whether mapping complex journeys, facilitating workshops, or crafting final designs, you ensure every detail aligns with both the vision and the context of the project.
What You’ll Do
Research & Insights
- Lead qualitative and quantitative user research (surveys, interviews, usability testing) to uncover user needs, pain points, and opportunities.
- Synthesize research into actionable insights, user journeys, personas, and experience strategies that drive design decisions.
- Use data and user feedback to validate ideas and measure the impact of design solutions.
- Develop experience strategies, vision documents, and roadmaps that align user goals with client objectives.
- Create service blueprints, customer journey maps, and UX frameworks for complex ecosystems.
- UX / UI Design & Execution
- Design wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Figma.
- Craft intuitive information architecture and scalable design systems that support cohesive, accessible experiences.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure design intent is maintained through implementation.
- Present and communicate design rationale clearly to clients and stakeholders, adjusting the message for different audiences.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of our design culture.
