Job descriptionSolid knowledge of the luxury and streetwear landscape, with a keen eye for trends and details Experience designing for a premium / luxury brand with knowledge of luxury level components, trends and fabrics. Experience in women’s outerwear with some experience in sportswear Experience in men’s outerwear with some experience in sportswear is an asset 2 to 5 years experience in Fit, Tech and Design Ability to multi-task, problem solve and work well in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Tech packs Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Experience with Advanced Procreate, Illustrator & InDesign skills Knowledge of down-fill Available for international travel Detail oriented and organized
As the Designer for Women's and Mens Outerwear & Apparel, you will be responsible for taking direction from the VP of Design, Design Director and Global Merchant and interpreting it for the outerwear collection. Working with the design team, you will travel for market research, work with fits and development, and liaise with our global sales teams in Europe and Asia.
Some of what you’ll do :
- Research trends, colours and fabrications
- Lead women's collection with the VP of Design
- Present ideas, concepts to the VP of Design & the Design Director
- Present Merch Plans of the women's collection
- Adhere to design calendar deadlines and timelines; ensuring all designs are completed accurately and on time
- Create Flat sketches to hand over to Fit & PD teams with detailed information
- Source new trims and finishing
- Provide direction to Graphic artist when required
- Work with Production and Fit Technicians to develop proto samples and manage Protos developments
- Communicate with Vendors & Factories
- Prepare Sales Meeting to present NEW Collections
- Work on special projects as needed
- New York & Europe Travel - Market research, Trade Shows & Shopping competitors
- Travel to Asia for Proto fittings (based on timeline when needed)
