  • Develop and maintain internal systems for tracking grant deliverables, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Programs teams to develop budgets and monitor expenditures.

Grant Writing and Proposal Development :

  • Lead the development of compelling and well-structured grant proposals to secure funding for organizational initiatives, ensuring alignment with donor guidelines and strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with the programs, finance, and analytics teams to gather necessary information and create narratives that effectively communicate impact and program goals.
  • Reporting and Documentation :

  • Prepare and review accurate, high-quality reports on grant activities, progress, and outcomes for internal stakeholders and external requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Programs, Finance, and Analytics teams to collect and analyze data to inform grant reporting and program evaluation.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in data reporting by developing standardized templates and processes.
  • Act as a central point of coordination between Programs, Finance, and M&E teams to ensure alignment on grant deliverables and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate regular internal meetings to track progress on grants and address any challenges in meeting deadlines.
  • Process Improvement :

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of grants and reporting workflows.
  • Establish best practices for document management, data collection, and cross-departmental collaboration related to grants.
  • Data Integration and Analysis :

  • Work with M&E and program teams to integrate data insights into reporting and to inform decision-making and program improvement.
  • Maintain a central repository of grant-related documents, reports, and data for easy access and reference.
  • Team Management and Development :

  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of grants and reporting staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Provide training and capacity-building opportunities to team members to strengthen their skills in grant writing, management, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability within the team.
  • Organizational Support :

  • Support leadership with the preparation of grant-related presentations, summaries, and updates as needed.
  • Contribute to strategic planning discussions by providing insights from grant performance and reporting.
  • Requirements and Experience

    Required Skills and Expertise

  • Degree in International Development, Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an asset.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in international development, with a proven track record in a similar role and expertise in overseeing grant writing and reporting in a nonprofit organization.
  • Exceptional writing skills, specifically with a very strong background in grant writing and reporting.
  • Proven ability to build and manage budgets, including those for restricted grants.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and planning abilities with demonstrated ability to lead innovation within grant writing and reporting.
  • Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
