Job description

Our client is a leading player in the manufacturing industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality products and innovative solutions.

Position Overview :

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in manufacturing accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with GAAP.
  • Conduct cost analysis and variance analysis to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation for audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Monitor inventory management and analyze inventory costs.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Qualifications

  • CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designated, or in final stages of completion
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
