Job description

Fire Safety Sales Specialist

Fire Safety Sales Specialists are the driving force behind securing new business and building long-term partnerships, ensuring that clients comply with safety regulations and maintain properly functioning fire systems. Their ability to assess client needs, conduct site surveys, and offer tailored solutions helps prevent fire-related risks, minimizing liabilities for businesses and property owners.

These sales professionals generate revenue and enhance customer satisfaction by offering expert advice, system upgrades, and responsive support. By working closely with internal teams and customers, they ensure seamless project execution, from initial consultation to post-service follow-ups. Their proactive approach to resolving customer issues and providing exceptional service builds trust, fostering customer loyalty and supporting our goal of “customers for life.” Their participation in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities strengthens the company’s reputation and expands market reach.

If you are looking for a meaningful career that is actively involved in keeping our community safe, this could be your dream role.

Compensation

Total Minimum Expected First‑Year Earnings : $90,000 (Base + Commission). Commission is uncapped. Other company benefits, perks and bonuses make up the total compensation package.

Incentives

  • Stability & Growth : We remained fully operational throughout the pandemic, supporting our communities when they needed us most. We grow year over year and have exciting expansion plans.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package : Health and dental coverage, RRSP matching, a monthly profit‑sharing bonus, and Employee & Family Assistance Program.
  • Career Development : Paid internal and external training and continuous learning opportunities to grow your career within the organization.
  • Vibrant Team Culture : Team outings, pub nights, virtual game sessions, spirit weeks and community volunteer events.
  • Make a Real Impact : Empowered to bring ideas forward and see them realized.
  • Be Proud of Where You Work : Trusted name in the communities we serve.

Job Description

  • Prospecting & Cold Calling : Actively reach out to existing and potential customers to generate new business opportunities and expand the client base.
  • Building Partnerships : Establish and nurture relationships with property managers and management companies to consistently generate high‑quality leads.
  • Presenting Services : Deliver engaging presentations to customers, clearly communicating the benefits of our fire inspection services.
  • Conducting Site Surveys : Perform thorough site assessments to inventory fire system devices and identify service needs.
  • Preparing & Delivering Quotes : Accurately prepare quotes for customers and ensure timely follow‑up for approval and signature.
  • Managing System Upgrades : Provide quotes for system upgrades and coordinate meetings between the customer and the Installations Manager for project alignment.
  • Database Management : Maintain up‑to‑date records of daily sales activity in the CMS database to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Event Participation : Represent the company at trade shows, golf tournaments, and other industry events as required; engage in lunch & learn sessions and customer site visits.
  • Resolving Customer Issues : Collaborate with the service department to address complaints or issues, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.
  • Internal Collaboration : Work closely with key internal teams—including security, service, sales and marketing, and the fire installations team—to streamline processes and ensure smooth operations.
  • Requirements

We are seeking an experienced, motivated sales representative to sell fire protection inspections, fire system monitoring and system upgrades and to serve as an expert resource in this field. Working with property managers, business owners, and strata members, the safety specialist will manage an established customer base and develop new business through networking at industry events, site visits, cold calling, one‑on‑one meetings, emails and follow‑ups. The ideal candidate can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge and thrives in a fast‑paced environment with over 2,000 customers.

  • Proven Sales Experience (minimum 5 years preferred) : Preferably in a service‑based industry; bonus points for experience in the fire protection industry.
  • Relationship‑Driven : Passionate about building long‑term relationships and aligned with our vision of creating “customers for life.”
  • Self‑Motivated Achiever : Driven to be at the top of the sales leaderboard, actively seeking opportunities rather than waiting for leads to come.
  • Skilled Communicator : Listens attentively, clearly articulates our services, and educates clients on solutions when necessary.
  • Collaborative Relationship Builder : Engages proactively with internal teams and follows up regularly to ensure alignment and support.
  • Reliable Follow‑Through : Ensures seamless service delivery by following up with both customers and internal teams.
  • Solutions‑Oriented : Owns the resolution of challenges and anticipates potential issues before they arise.
  • Detail‑Oriented : Meticulous with paperwork, ensuring accuracy in every detail.
  • Tech‑Savvy : Comfortable using computers daily with solid proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sales Management platforms.
  • Enjoys Golf : Ability to play golf or willing to join others for golfing sessions.
  • Senior Level
