General ledger accountant Jobs in Markham on

We are seeking an Entry Level Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will assist with various accounting operations, including accounts payable, account reconciliations, and other financial processes. This position is backfilling an internal promotion and could end up being a permanent and stable role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities :

• Assisting with full-cycle accounts payable operations
• Inputting data into our ERP system with accuracy and efficiency
• Actively engaging with vendors and employees to address and resolve issues
• Managing and processing expenses and reimbursements
• Assisting with month-end accruals and account reconciliations
• Undertaking other ad hoc duties as needed
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel to maintain and update financial records
• Ensuring the general ledger is accurate and up-to-date
• Applicant must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as an Entry Level Accountant
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a mandatory requirement
• Required to have a strong understanding and experience in managing General Ledger
• Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel to perform financial calculations and prepare reports
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is a key requisite for this role
