This position provides guidance and direct support as necessary related to activities of daily living, personal care, communication, emotional, physical and mental health, safety, finances, and relationship development to foster independencepensation package:Work up to 42 hours per week, working 12-hour day shiftsRequired to work weekends and public holidays as scheduledMinimum starting rate of pay is $29.74 per hourEmployer paid confidential EAP program for you and your family membersMinimum requirements for this position include:Community College Diploma in Social Services or a closely related field from an acceptable accredited college. Educational focus in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Police Foundations, Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Services Worker, Social Services Worker, etc.Registered Behavioural Technician certificate an assetMinimum of one (1) year recent full-time work experience supporting hard to serve adults with complex care needs in community residential settingsExperience supporting people with behaviour management techniques is an assetDemonstrated ability to respond calmly in crisis situations through various approved verbal de-escalation and physical intervention techniques.
