Senior Formulator, Skincare – Toronto, Canada – CAD $80-, + relocation support

Are you a Development Chemist or Formulator with Skincare experience and ideas?

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to join a global leader in cosmetic product development and manufacturing, in vibrant Toronto. As Senior Formulator for the Skincare category, you will bring your technical expertise and creativity to multiple formulation development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Drive innovation by researching and implementing new technologies, raw materials, and formulas across the Skincare category
Re-engineer benchmarks and design new chassis formulas, identifying product and process innovations
Collaborate with raw material suppliers on new applications and innovations
Optimise the raw material portfolio for cost-effectiveness and efficiency
Ensure compliance with regulations, specifications, and feasibility
Work closely with cross-functional teams, actively participating in client visits, risk assessments, and new product launch meetings
Support technical development of internal talent, providing guidance and training

Candidate Requirements

Science degree, preferably Chemistry, plus significant Skincare formulation experience

Technical knowledge of raw material functions and applications

Expertise in processing technologies, testing and analytical instruments

Proficient in NPD, performance evaluation, market trends, manufacturing, quality, GMP / GLP, and 5S

Excellent organisational, problem-solving and teamwork skills

Strong leadership abilities and experience in coaching junior staff
