ABOUT THE NEWLY INSTITUTE

The Newly Institute was founded to provide long‑lasting change within the mental health industry, our community, and with our clients. We are leading a paradigm shift in the Canadian healthcare system by building a network of purpose‑built mental health clinics across Canada. By fusing a bio‑psycho‑social‑spiritual treatment model with medically managed therapies, our intensive outpatient programs provide rapid access, rapid resolution, and rapid return to work and healthy lifestyle programs for anxiety, depression, addiction, post‑traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, and chronic pain.

We have opportunities for Registered Psychologists to join our innovative, purpose‑driven, and multi‑disciplinary clinical teams in British Columbia.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

  • Complete Psychological Assessment screens.
  • Perform advanced clinical services; including psychological assessment, diagnosis and / or intervention.
  • Analyze and evaluate patient data and test or examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder.
  • Provide such other services as may be reasonably required by the Company, and as mutually agreed upon.

WHAT YOU BRING

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health assessment / triage and treatment is required.
  • Experience using evidence‑based trauma therapy, specifically EMDR or ART is an asset.
  • Experience with individual, group, and family counselling is an asset.
  • Equivalencies of experience may be considered.
  • Education

  • Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) in Psychology and registration with a Provincial Regulatory Body is required.
  • Professional training certificates in EMDR and / or ART are significant assets.
  • Background Check

    Contracts are conditional, subject to clear police background check, inclusive of vulnerable sector check.
