Job description

Senior Accountant, Assurance

Join BDO Canada as a Senior Accountant in the Assurance team – a key role investing 3+ years of audit experience and becoming an integral part of our growing London-Windsor group.

Responsibilities

  • Lead audit engagements, prepare working papers, and compile financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Streamline year‑end engagements and prepare tax returns for clients across a variety of industries.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships, addressing needs and suggestions promptly.
  • Contribute to business development and identify opportunities with existing clients.
  • Keep your team informed on progress and potential issues, fostering collaboration.

  • Identify, recommend, and focus on effective service delivery to clients.

  • Experience & Education

  • CPA or working toward CPA designation with at least 3 years of external audit experience in public accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
  • Highly detail‑oriented with excellent time‑management and ability to handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Proactive in seeking professional development opportunities.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
  • Compensation

    Hourly range : $62,000 – $96,000.
