About the Opportunity

• Ownership of payments cycle, inclusive of : processing payable invoices including obtaining approvals and coding, preparing payable invoice batches for weekly approval in financial system, managing cheque runs and processing payments in financial system.

Ownership of collections cycle, inclusive of : creation of sales invoices in financial system, generating sales invoice batches for approval in financial system, collection of payments, preparation of deposits and processing of deposit batches in financial system.

Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Assist with quarterly financial reporting and analysis.

Liaise with external stakeholders, including customers and vendors in a professional manner.

Maintain digital filing system.

Preparing and filing for HST & other Government programs

Ability to manage ad-hoc requests in an efficient and effective manner

About You :

University or College degree in Accounting or Business Administration.

1-2 years minimum of relevant experience in accounting.

Working towards a CPA designation is an asset but not required.

Strong attention to detail.

Organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Problem solving and analytical skills.

Team player, ability to liaise with all levels of staff.

Eager and willingness to learn.

Proficiency with an accounting software required and experience with Sage Intacct is considered an asset.

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Pay Range : $30 - $35 per hour
