Position Summary :

The Equipment Detailer is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and maintaining heavy construction equipment to ensure a professional appearance and safe operation. This position supports the Equipment Division by preparing machinery for field deployment, maintenance, or resale. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Clean and detail heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, haul trucks, loaders, and support vehicles using pressure washers, cleaning agents, and hand tools.
  • Remove dirt, grease, concrete, and other debris from equipment surfaces, undercarriages, and cabs.
  • Perform interior cab cleaning — vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and removing debris.
  • Conduct basic inspections of equipment for leaks, damages, or maintenance needs and report findings to the shop foreman.
  • Maintain wash bay area, cleaning tools, and supplies in a safe, orderly condition.
  • Assist with refueling, fluid checks, and minor maintenance as directed.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental guidelines.
  • Support mechanics and operators as needed for efficient equipment turnaround.

Qualifications :

  • Prior experience cleaning or detailing heavy equipment, trucks, or machinery preferred.
  • Ability to operate pressure washers, steam cleaners, and related equipment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must be safety-conscious and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, water, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to wear required PPE (steel-toed boots, gloves, eye / ear protection, etc.).
  • This position is based primarily in the shop or wash bay area with exposure to outdoor conditions. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety and equipment care.
