Job descriptionThese positions are ideally suited for students entering the third or fourth year of a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechencial, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field and are returning to their studies in the following term, or for students who have completed a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate Valid Class 5 license and experienced driving on rural roads Excellent communication and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of team Motivated and enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic Capability to work outdoors in ranging temperatures that can sometimes exceed 30 degrees Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks Possesses a strong commitment to safety Demonstrated ability to adapt to process changes and modifications Must currently reside in the greater Dawson Creek area and be able to travel to field locations An opportunity to be part of delivering responsible energy by developing and growing your career with us Working collaboratively with, and learning from some of the most talented and experienced people in our industry A culture of caring and high performance Focus on health and well-being An environment where all individuals are treated fairly and respectfully, have equal access to opportunities and resources, feel a sense of belonging, and can contribute fully to the organization’s success Meaningful work that makes a difference in the Canadian energy industry As these roles are considered safety sensitive, the successful candidate will be required to successfully complete drug and alcohol testing, and a fitness to work test Shift schedules for these roles are 4 days on and 3 days off, working 10 hours per day, Monday to Thursday The base wage range for this position is $20.00 CAD to $25.00 CAD. THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Area Foreman, the Field Operations Summer Student positions requires organized, detail oriented and motivated individuals who are ready to work in a fast-paced environment and take on new challenges. These roles involve working alongside team members with extensive and diverse experience within Field Operations. The work term will commence in May 2026 and will last 4 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain housekeeping of operational sites and facilities, which includes cleaning and painting
- Assist in vegetation management including weed eating of sites and facilities
- Assist Field Operations as required for compliance including data capture and asset management of equipment
- Support warehouse and supply chain personnel with assigned tasks
