Job descriptionMonitor meal services to ensure process efficiency and resident satisfaction. Coordinate dietary activities with other departments to improve efficiency reduce costs and meet budget requirements. Develop cyclical menu plans that align with nutritional guidelines and incorporate resident input. Manage inventory prepare reports and ensure compliance with the Ministry and other stakeholders. Oversee fiscal budget management ensuring financial guidelines are met. Handle staffing functions such as training development performance management and discipline while maintaining compliance with collective agreements and health standards. Completion of Food and Nutrition program as recognized by college. Active member of CSNM Canadian Society of Nutrition Management. 23 years of Supervisory experience preferably in Acute Care setting. 2 years of working experience as a Diet Tech using CBORD & EPIC. Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills as requirement to interact with patients and their families in a respectful and professional manner (including deescalating concerns and dealing with problems or complaints) Prior experience managing in a Unionized environment preferably within healthcare or long term care. How Youll Make an Impact :
Assistant Manager Food Service is responsible for organizing and supervising food and nutrition function and staff within the assigned site for the assigned shift. The incumbent is responsible to ensure adherence to service levels sanitation and food service expectations as well as ensuring appropriate staffing levels and assigning tasks.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Supervise staff and daily operations to ensure efficient workflows quality service aligned with client agreements and adherence to productivity standards.
- Provide coaching training (including remedial training) direction and performance management to employees while ensuring compliance with the Collective Agreement.
- Create and manage work schedules to meet business needs client requirements and key performance indicators.
- Visit patients to address dietary concerns confirm allergies follow up on dietitian referrals and ensure accurate documentation.
- Offer feedback and support with frontline staffing including recruitment and candidate interviews.
