Property Accountant – Real Estate & Property Management

Vancouver, BC

Salary : $55K – $60K

Flexible Schedule : 10 AM – 2 : 30 PM in-office, work from home for the rest of the day

About the Role

A well-established property management company is looking for a Property Accountant to join their team. This role offers a flexible work schedule , making it ideal for someone looking to balance career and personal responsibilities while contributing to a dynamic and growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management : Handle full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties.
Lease & Tenant Accounting : Process rent rolls, tenant chargebacks, and lease-related adjustments.
Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and budget reviews.
Accounts Payable & Receivable : Manage invoicing, bank reconciliations, and owner distributions.
Audit & Year-End Prep : Support financial audits and year-end reconciliations.
Software & Systems : Utilize Yardi, Spectra, QuickBooks, or other property management accounting software .

Who You Are

Experience : 2+ years in accounting, preferably within property management.

Education : Accounting certificate or diploma preferred (CPA Level 2 / 3 is a plus, but not required).

Skills : Strong Excel and accounting system knowledge, with great attention to detail.

Work-Life Balance Focus : Ideal for those needing flexibility , including early afternoon pick-ups and remote work options.

What’s Offered

Flexible Work Hours : In-office from 10 AM – 2 : 30 PM, then remote for the rest of the day.

Time Off : 2 weeks vacation, plus the ability to take 2-3 additional unpaid weeks if needed .
