Position Summary
The Adult Programmer is responsible for planning and delivering dynamic programs for adults, both within the Library and out in the community. This role plays a key part in advancing the goals of Airdrie Public Library’s Plan of Service by fostering meaningful community partnerships, promoting library resources, and creating inclusive, enriching experiences that inspire learning and connection.
In addition to program delivery, the Programmer supports program development and evaluation, supervises volunteers, and actively contributes to outreach initiative that reflect the Library’s vision to start a journey of discovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Adult Programming
Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive programs for adults that support lifelong learning, creativity, wellness, and community connection.
Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, service providers, and community groups that serve adults.
Track attendance, gather feedback, and evaluate the impact of adult programs to support continuous improvement.
Support volunteer participation in adult programs by providing guidance, training, and encouragement.
