Job Description
Our client a stable and long-standing organization with a close-knit team is seeking a detail-oriented and independent Financial Advisor to join their team in Dartmouth NS .
Reporting directly to the CEO this is a key role responsible for full-cycle accounting and financial reporting while providing financial advice and support to the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives with autonomy team and enjoys a mix of day-to-day accounting and strategic financial guidance.
Key Responsibilities for the Job :
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
- Develop recommend and manage annual budgets and forecasts with variance analysis and reporting
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable including invoice preparation coding expense reports and payments
- Complete bank reconciliations payroll processing and statutory filings (HST / GST pension LTD)
- Manage cost recovery processes reporting and invoicing to federal and provincial governments
- Lead year-end processes including audit coordination and preparation of working papers
- Administer employee benefits pensions and year-end payroll adjustments
- Prepare financial reports and briefing notes for committees and senior leadership
- Provide financial advice and support to organizational programs including procurement bids and participant funding programs
