Job description

Are you an experienced forklift operator looking for immediate work? Apply now for this contract position within a busy warehouse located in the St. Boniface Industrial Park. This is a temporary position for approximately 12 weeks with the possibility of permanent hire at the end of the temporary period.

Ideal candidate will have experience operating a forklift with a drum grabber attachment. Experience handling dangerous goods is also an asset. 2+ years forklift experience required.

Having your own transportation is ideal - there is transit access that is a 10 minute walk from this warehouse.

Advantages

  • Afternoon Shift 12 : 00pm-8 : 30pm
  • 19.50 / hour
  • Paid weekly via direct deposit
  • Transit access (10 minute walk)
  • Brand new facility

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift with a drum grabber attachment
  • Receive computer orders and make shipping arrangements
  • Using an RF scanner
  • Prepare shipments and ensure documents are properly signed
  • Retrieve appropriate supplies from the stock area
  • Receive shipments and put things away properly in the warehouse
  • Other general labor and minor duties as requested
  • Qualifications

  • 2-3 years Forklift experience
  • 1 year previous shipping experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with an RF scanner an asset
  • Steel toed shoes required
