The Finance Controller will play a critical role in managing the financial health of the organization, overseeing core accounting, financial reporting, and acquisition accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and distribution, with a proven ability to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and provide insightful financial analysis to support business growth. This is 3-6 month contract and 5 days onsite.Key Responsibilities1. Core Accounting and Compliance : Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.Ensure compliance with local GAAP / IFRS and regulatory standards.Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes.Maintain and improve internal control systems and financial policies.2. Financial Reporting : Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.Develop and present financial insights to senior management and stakeholders.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight areas for improvement.3. Acquisition Accounting : Lead the financial due diligence process for mergers, acquisitions, and integrations.Evaluate and manage purchase price allocations (PPAs) and goodwill accounting.Coordinate with legal, tax, and external auditors to ensure smooth transitions post-acquisition.4. Strategic Financial Planning : Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives.Assess and mitigate financial risks to the organization.Provide recommendations on cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is required.Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in manufacturing and distribution.Strong background in core accounting, financial reporting, and acquisition accounting.Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).In-depth knowledge of GAAP / IFRS and financial regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with senior management.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
