Job Description
Job Description
Reporting directly to the Master Scheduler the Planner / Scheduler is responsible for building daily production schedules, ensuring appropriate levels of inventory to meet Customer needs, and ensure the optimal balance of material flow throughout the plant. The role supports the entire production cycle to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and deliver customer satisfaction. This individual will execute various programs and work collaboratively with various internal stakeholders, to ensure world-class material flow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the Planner-Scheduler are detailed below, but not limited to the following :
SCHEDULING :
- Build daily schedules ensuring on-time delivery internally and externally
- Review and plan work orders for all new tooling and tooling returned from the die maker on a daily basis
- Review and promptly respond to daily sales requests relating to order status
- Collect previous day schedules and sequence orders as required to ensure optimal efficiency and on time deliver (OTD)
- Analyze and prioritize sales order fulfilment with respect to capacity planning and material requirements
- Provide back-up support to other planners / schedulers
- All other duties as assigned
