Description
The Financial Reporting Compliance Advisor is a key member of the Financial Reporting team bringing strong analytical and accounting skills to the Financial and Strategic Services department. Working to support the Senior Financial Reporting Compliance Advisor this position requires a proficient use of data analytics and strong understanding of chart of accounts in a complex organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administering the chart of accounts for the County which includes a large variety of cost centers and account categories
- Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of interfaces into the Oracle general ledger and supporting the reconciliation of account balances in the general ledger to accounts in interfaced modules
- Performing month end close and year end close procedures
- Using data analytics software to summarize large volumes of data identify exceptions or prepare analysis to respond to specific queries
- Preparing working papers journal entries and accounting analysis
- Filing tax information including GST monthly submissions and annual slip preparation for non-resident withholding tax and other compliance filings
- Conducting compliance reviews as required
