The Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all Summit Helicopters aircraft. This position performs maintenance activities as directed by the Director of Maintenance / Production Supervisor.

This is a resident role based in Kamloops, BC.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Conduct maintenance on aircraft or aircraft components as directed by the Director of Maintenance / Production Supervisor.
- Perform all maintenance activities in accordance with the applicable standards of airworthiness.
- Ensure all paperwork for assigned tasks is complete and accurate before submitting.
- Ensure all maintenance alerts and memos are read, understood and complied with.
- Identify possible Service Difficulty Report (SDR) situations and report to Production Supervisor.
- Troubleshoot faulty systems to determine a course of rectification.
- Carry out the applicable elementary servicing release of an aircraft as authorized by the individual Shop Certification Authority (SCA).
- Conduct hangar clean‑up.
- Travel with an aircraft and apprentice / mechanic if assigned away from base for an extended period of time, as required.
- Assist with sheet metal / avionics repairs as needed.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
