The Department of Medicine at Dalhousie University and Nova Scotia Health seeks applications for two Rheumatologists in the Division of Rheumatology at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Full- and / or part-time opportunities may be available.
The Division of Rheumatology is one of 15 divisions within the Department of Medicine and provides specialized medical and consultative care for Atlantic Canadians with inflammatory arthritis and rheumatic diseases, as well as providing undergraduate education and residency training. In addition to playing an important clinical role in the Department, division members have excellent opportunities for collaborative educational and research activities to facilitate rewarding and fulfilling career development.
Candidates must hold FRCPC (or equivalent) certification in Internal Medicine and subspecialty certification in Rheumatology. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated success or potential with respect to scholarly activity in research and / or education. Candidates must be eligible for rheumatology specialty licensure in Nova Scotia. Recent graduates of accredited Royal College rheumatology training programs who are eligible to write the Royal College subspecialty certification exam are welcome to apply.
An attractive remuneration and benefits package through an alternative funding plan will
apply. Academic appointment ranking will be based on qualifications and experience.
