Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics & Shipping Coordinator to support administrative and operational functions related to shipping, invoicing, and carrier coordination. This role ensures the smooth movement of freight through accurate documentation, timely communication, and efficient coordination between warehouse, carriers, and internal teams.

$22–$28 per hour | Full-Time | Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: Nisku, AB

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee driver check-ins and coordinate dock assignments
  • Prepare and verify bills of lading and shipping documentation
  • Schedule freight pick-ups and ensure delivery timelines are met
  • Compare carrier rates and transit times to select optimal shipping options
  • Coordinate freight consolidation and drop trailer procedures
  • Generate and process invoices and close loads in the system
  • Track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and initiate POD requests
  • Communicate schedule changes and issues with internal teams and customers
  • Ensure accuracy of all shipping data and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures and safety standards

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) an asset
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Physical & Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with extended computer use
  • Occasional light physical activity (up to 25 lbs)
  • Exposure to warehouse environment conditions when required (temperature, dust, noise)
  • Ability to perform repetitive computer and documentation tasks
