Job descriptionAssist in the preparation, setup and maintenance of event spaces Possess a strong knowledge of event menu items Respond promptly to guest requests in a timely, professional and efficient manner Deliver food & beverage to the appropriate tables as directed by the Management team Clear plates, cutlery and glasses from the tables and return them to the dish area Monitor food quality and presentation standards Adhere to all O&B health and safety standards Additional duties as assigned or required Available for a minimum of three weekdays or evenings per week Proven track record of at least one year of professional serving experience (strongly preferred) Valid Smart Serve Certification is a requirement Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to excellence Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and efficiency under high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment Superior organizational skills with a proven capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Consistent demonstration of professional urgency and ability to maintain momentum throughout shifts We thank all applicants for their interest in Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants; however, only suitable candidates will be contacted to continue the application process.

Initially opened in 1930 as “Eaton’s Seventh Floor,” French architect Jacques Carlu designed the Carlu. Now recognized as one of Toronto’s best examples of Art Moderne architecture, The Carlu has been designated as a National Historic Site of Canada and has played host to royalty on several occasions. As the preferred space for high profile social fetes, conventions, and corporate celebrations. In 2003, the space at 444 Yonge St. in College Park reopened as “The Carlu” event venue after an extensive restoration.

Job Description
Event Servers assist in the preparation and set up of the venue as well as execute the event. They monitor food and quality presentation and possess a strong knowledge of event menu items to answer questions and make recommendations when required.
