The Vice-President, Research & Innovation (VPRI) portfolio supports the University of Toronto as a top public research university in the world. Your opportunity :
Based within the Research Oversight and Compliance Office team, you will work closely with research sponsors, researchers, grant and financial administration staff to support research reporting and financial audit. Your responsibilities will include :
- Analyzing actual expenditures in comparison to budget and preparing reports for financial planning and funding terms compliance
- Interpreting and applying University and sponsor policies to independently determine research compliance
- Monitoring, recording, reconciling and / or reporting on funding accounts for research agreements
- Preparing and recording deposits on a regular basis
- Producing complex statistical and / or financial reports
- Analyzing complex statistical reports and / or financial information for management decision-making
- Preparing budget variance reports
- Identifying and resolving individual data anomalies and discrepancies
