Basic Qualifications
A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following : Training Specialization : Elementary Education with specialization at the intermediate level Related Teaching Experience : Recent successful experience teaching at the intermediate level A Reasonable Expectation : based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff. Additional Qualifications : Not required for this posting Other : Willingness to support the school plan for Student Success. Willingness to work as a member of the school-based team. Commitment to working as part of a team in the development and implementation of the School Growth Plan and Aboriginal Enhancement Agreement. Willingness to support whole school environmental initiatives. Commitment to school-wide Positive Behaviour Support program as a form of addressing behaviour in the classroom and the school as a whole. The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
