Position Overview :
The key purpose of this role is to coordinate and direct the design, planning, construction, maintenance and modification of equipment, machinery, building and other facilities.
What You Will Do :
- Plan, assign and supervise the work of the Maintenance Team.
- Manage the Preventative Maintenance (PM) System.
- Ensure cost, schedule and quality objectives are met as efficiently as possible.
- Ensure that a high standard of general maintenance practice is followed, and that all manufacturing equipment and the work environment is kept clean and organized.
- Manage key and lock distribution.
- Manage annual inspection process for fire alarm, sprinkler systems, Fire Safety Plan in accordance to the Fire Code and applicable regulations.
- Maintain a high standard of discipline and conduct within the maintenance team; counsel individuals as required.
- Ensure that all members of the Maintenance Team receive appropriate training and maintain applicable certifications.
- Develop, monitor and evaluate environmental programs to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
- Prepare environmental status reports and complete applications for environmental regulatory licenses / permits.
- Work closely with the Health & Safety Officer to promptly resolve Health & Safety and environmental issues.
- Manage sub-contracted services on a daily basis, negotiate contracts.
- Available (on call) 24 / 7 for emergencies Perform other duties as assigned.
