Cedarbrae KidsCare Clinic is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of our pediatric medical clinic by handling various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in (medical) office administration, a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service, and a passion for working in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Reception Duties : Greet patients and families, manage phone calls, and handle appointment scheduling.
Administrative Support : Perform data entry, manage patient records, and assist with medical documentation.
Office Management : Ensure the clinic environment is clean and organized, maintain office and medical supplies, and inventory.
Coordination : Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and streamline clinic operations.
Compliance : Adhere to clinic policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and following health and safety regulations. Prior knowledge of HIPPA required.
Qualifications and Skills :
Education : Ontario Secondary School Diploma is required. Enrollment in or completion of a post-secondary program related to the medical field is preferred.
Experience : Previous experience as an office administrative assistant is essential.
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational Skills : Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail.
Customer Service : Proven ability to provide high-quality customer service and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Technical Proficiency : Competency in using office software and equipment, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements :
Availability : Must be available to work part-time 3 days a week Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM.
Experience : Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in medical / healthcare setting.
Education : Ontario Secondary School Diploma required; post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.
