At Payzant, our Cashiers do more than process transactions—they create memorable customer experiences. As the first and last point of contact, you'll greet customers with a smile, ensure they found everything they needed, and provide fast, accurate checkout service. By working efficiently and treating every customer with respect, you'll help make every visit a great one while keeping wait times to a minimum. If you enjoy connecting with people and take pride in delivering exceptional service, we'd love to have you on our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and federal safety legislation. Report any potential hazards and unsafe behavior to management to have the situation corrected.
  • Greet customers as they enter the store and direct them to the products they are looking for.
  • Answer phones in a polite and timely manner.
  • Process payments made with cash, debit cards, credit cards and gift cards by accurately and efficiently operating the cash register while treating every customer fairly and with respect.
  • Be familiar with products/ads and the store layout to be able to answer questions and assist customers.
  • Maintain the cash area and adjacent areas in accordance with the cash/sales floor housekeeping standards, ensuring supplies are well organized and replenished as required.
  • Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned.
  • Must be able to work between the hours of 7am-1pm
