Job descriptionStrong technical HR skills across key functional areas such as employee relations, performance management, compensation, and organizational development Experience working with enterprise-level HR management systems (HRMS) is strongly preferred Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments with a strong focus on growth and adaptability Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or HR certification an asset). Progressive HR experience, with recent experience in a leadership role. Knowledge of employment laws and best practices. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Comfortable working in both strategic and operational HR capacities.
LeverageTek is actively seeking an HR Manager for a permanent / fulltime opportunity with its Ottawa-based customer.
Work Location
Ottawa preferred, but open to Montreal, or Toronto Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)
Key Tasks
- Lead and manage core HR programs including onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and training.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with local employment laws and company standards.
- Support organizational change and development initiatives in line with business goals.
- Manage and mentor a team of HR professionals, ensuring consistent and effective delivery of HR services.
- Partner with leadership to address workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development.
- Facilitate performance review processes and support managers in delivering feedback and coaching.
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions on HR-related topics to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Monitor HR metrics and use data to inform decisions and improve processes.
