We will continue our commitment to providing premium solutions, products, and services across Canada with the best people in the industry.Job PurposeThe Human Resources Generalist is a member of the HR Team and will be reporting directly to the General Counsel & Director of Corporate Services.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing recruitment and documentation related to all stages of the employment life cycle. They will also be responsible for providing support on various HR projects and initiatives.Our ideal candidate has experience with HR procedures and can juggle various tasks and projects in a timely manner, follow the defined protocols and maintain confidentiality.This role requires the ability to work well under timelines and in a team environment.Major ResponsibilitiesEnsures HR functions and queries are delivered as per appropriate standards and in a courteous mannerProvides front-line support to managers on HR matters related to recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and terminationsOversees onboarding to ensure that required documentation and training are completed in a timely mannerPrepares documentation related to terminations, employment changes, etc. for all employees in the systemInteracts with internal clients or employees around specific work efforts and deliverablesOversees the maintenance of employee data, training records and personnel filesAssists HR partners and HR leads in preparing required letters and other documentation, and on special HR projects as assignedDocuments various standard operating procedures and HR processesOversees the administration of Company group benefits plan as per benefit eligibilityStays well informed of Company human resources policies, procedures, and delegation of authorityStays well informed of changes to applicable employment standards laws and other HR-related applicable legislationManages the execution of performance management including role definitions and accountabilities, annual performance assessments, and identifying learning and mentoring requirements and opportunities of the teamAppropriately oversees the investigation and resolution of team member issues, employment law matters, and establishes effective mechanisms to receive and act on feedbackQualifications – Education / KnowledgeCollege degree / diploma with a specialization in Human Resources ManagementCHRP designation2-4 years’ experience in human resources supporting employee life cycle operationsExperience in non-union and unionized environmentsStrong attention to detailAbility to interpret and analyze data related to HR metricsHas strong analytical, problem solving and judgement skillsIntermediate level expertise with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to prioritiesConfidence to ask questions and seek clarity when requiredExperience with ADP Workforce Now is an asset, though not requiredSkillsGood communication skillsConfident decision makingAbility to act quicklyEffective planning and organizationAn eye for detailAbility to take ownershipBenefitsPaid medical / dental and vision insurance-available upon hiring Paid Short- and Long-Term Disability InsuranceBasic Life InsuranceAccidental Death and Dismemberment InsuranceOpportunity to work from home up to two days per weekPaid personal daysPaid holidaysVacationPaid birthday day offWhile the job description above is intended to be an accurate reflection of the position, the company reserves the right to revise the functions and duties of the job or to require that additional or different tasks be performed when circumstances change (i.e. emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, or technological developments).
