Overview
Domtar Port Mellon, British Columbia, Canada. The Howe Sound Mill located on the Sunshine Coast, BC is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student for a 4 month work term. Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with our asset integrity management program. The successful applicant will gain experience in Kraft mill maintenance and project work (Pulping, Bleaching, Environment or Recovery). You will work with maintenance and operations teams to ensure the achievement of mill objectives including safety, environment, production, cost and quality.
Specific Accountabilities and Key Activities
- For Pressure Vessels, PSVs, ATM Tanks, and Piping
- Populate register from P&C / Line List
- Review assets in SAP. Update register as needed.
- Review assets in Maximo. Update register as needed.
- Field walk small vessels to confirm that small PSVs are tagged. Update register and communicate to O
- Populate register with design data (data sheets, U1 Forms, drawings, etc).
- Review most recent inspection report. Update register.
- Determine next inspection date and / or set inspection frequency (follow API 510, API 570, API 576, ASME PCC-3)
- Build maintenance plans in SAP.
