We are currently seeking an Energy and Incentive Specialist to join our Energy Solutions team and operate out of our Vaughan or Ottawa office.
This position is responsible for executing daily activities that support financial incentive tools, projects, processes, and customer facing team members at Modern Niagara. Through diligent consistency this role will provide financial value to our customers.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must :
Have a genuine interest in energy efficiency and decarbonization of existing buildings
Have exceptional listening and communication skills
Have an affinity for process and routine, understanding that small actions done consistently set our customer facing team members up for success
Understand the fundamentals of waterfall-based project management
Be naturally inquisitive
Be motivated to help customer facing team members succeed through attention to detail
Have experience managing energy-saving financial incentive applications through to completion including analysis and savings calculations for custom and prescriptive programs.
Overview of Responsibilities :
Facilitate and process energy incentive requests from across organization including :
Track incoming requests through various communication channels
Ensure 1-hours response time confirming receipt of request and ETA for delivery of requested incentive information
Calculating estimated energy savings and eligible financial incentives
Managing applications process with various organization offering incentive programs
Internally collaboration and communicate to ensure all requirements are met
Leading documentation gathering, verifying, and uploading to successfully secure incentive for either Modern Niagara or our client
Follow-up and close-out of incentive request within centralized tracking system
Manage incentive supported projects with Energy Solutions team including :
Scheduling and hosting project handover meetings
Collecting and organizing documentation relevant to projects
Opening jobs in project management systems
Preparing schedules and budgets collaboration with Energy Solutions Operations team
Managing costs and internal departmental resources to successfully deliver projects, including working with Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams.
Lead client-facing project meetings to set and manage expectations
Qualifications and Experience :
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering post-secondary graduate or related combination of education and experience
Understanding of project management fundamentals
High performing, driven individual that is self motivated
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Resourceful, problem-solver that is energetic and able to manage multiple prioritize
Nice to haves but not required include :
Planned or successful completion of CEM designation
Planned or successful completion of CMVP
Experience within the construction industry, specifically energy and decarbonization retrofit projects
