Our WINNIPEG BRANCH has an exciting opportunity for a DISPATCHER to join our team!

What You Will Do:

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the activities of FGI products/shipments while maintaining strong relationships with drivers and coordinate them to successfully service FGI customers. You will work with your team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:

  • Coordinate and dispatch drivers running multiple routes daily (flatbeds and vans)

  • Plan and adjust runs in real-time to maintain delivery commitments (3-hour window from order to delivery)

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, customers, warehouse staff, and management

  • Monitor vehicle locations via fleet tracking software (Geotab) and proactively address delays or route issues.

  • Track and follow up on high-priority and time-sensitive deliveries

  • Ensure all deliveries are logged, documented, and invoiced correctly

  • Work closely with the warehouse team to confirm order readiness and help manage volume overflow

  • Enforce driver expectations, route cut-off times, and time-on-site limits

  • Report exceptions, missed deliveries, or chronic issues with clear notes and suggestions

  • Continuously improve route planning and dispatch processes to reduce delays and maximize delivery success

  • Other duties as assigned

What We Require:

  • 2+ years of dispatch experience, ideally in last-mile, high-volume environments, required

  • Experience using Geotab Elite Extra or similar fleet tracking software preferred

  • Background in logistics, transportation, or warehouse coordination preferred

  • Must have open availability

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal

  • Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
