About the Role:

As a Supervisor, Operations, you’ll lead a team of Powerline Technicians responsible for maintaining and operating the electric distribution and field operations across the Central West region.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable power delivery, supporting emergency response, and developing your team in a dynamic field environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the safe, reliable operation of the electric distribution and field operations
• Mentor and support Powerline Technicians and team leads in a field environment
• Coordinate maintenance, construction, and emergency response activities
• Manage resources, schedules, and operational priorities to meet service targets
• Support labour relations within a unionized environment
• Monitor budgets and operational performance
• Lead safety initiatives, audits, and compliance activities
• Build relationships with customers, communities, and stakeholders
• Use operational data to identify issues and improve performance

What You Bring:

• Journeyperson Powerline Technician (PLT), related technology diploma, or post-secondary degree
• Experience in utility operations, electric transmission or distribution, or a related field
• Leadership experience in a field or operations environment (formal or informal leadership considered)
• Knowledge of utility safety standards, regulations, and best practices
• Valid Alberta driver’s license and ability to travel within the service area
