As an OutpostTechnician , you will prepare locomotive and coach equipment to dispatch into passenger rail service andprovidetechnical expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical / mechanical problems. A role model for timekeeping, and a team player, who demonstrates organizational commitment and awareness. Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions, as well as in a 24-hour, 7 days a week working environment and must work safely and follow all work procedures. Technical skills / knowledge

• Familiarity with both machanical and electrical power and control systems
• Capable of reading and understanding electrical drawings and maintenance manuals
• Capable of using computers and computer control systems
• Experience using DVM, Amp clamp-on meter, Meggar, oscilloscope, power toolsand hand tools
• Perform scheduled inspections and unscheduled repairs, including component replacements on coaches / Locos.
• Complete interior and exterior inspections of the coach, including all subsystems and safety equipment.
• Equipment Fault finding with corresponding repairs.
• Proficient in English reading, writing and speaking skills required.
• Traveling off-site to outpost locations for repairs, troubleshoot and repairing equipment.
