Job description

Tasks

  • Manage mechanical engineering projects in collaboration with various departments.
  • Work on systems such as pumping, compressed air, material handling, and underground construction projects.
  • Perform technical calculations and field surveys.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Design, review, and update maintenance and engineering procedures.
  • Ensure technical supervision of contractors (F/M) on worksites.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the budget and long-term plan (LOM).
  • Ensure the quality, compliance, and availability of drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Participate in problem-solving in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform all other related duties.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Between 2 and 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Valid general explosives permit and completed FMTM modules.
  • Knowledge of equipment and systems (pumps, compressors, piping, concrete, etc.): an asset.
  • Proficiency in software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, Deswik, and SAP Maintenance: an asset.
  • ASP Construction card: an asset.
