Your Role & Impact

Under the guidance of Chief operating engineer, you will play a key role in addressing the following

challenges:

Job Summary

Operate & maintain various control systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated control systems
• Monitor and inspect plant equipment
• Measure temperature flow and pressure
• Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction
• Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs as required
• Perform routine equipment maintenance
• Clean and lubricate machinery and components
• Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities
• Write plant or building operation reports
• Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Role

Requirements and Work Conditions

• Refrigeration B certification
• Must be proficient in the use of the Refrigeration Code and ensure proper handling of equipment and hand tools
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints
• Must have own tools
• Experience with computerized control systems, high- and low-pressure boilers, pumps, compressors, motors, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, meters, ammonia refrigeration, cooling towers, HVAC, electronic controls, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and Freon Refrigeration Air Handling Units an asset
• Will work closely with Maintenance department when required
