We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in High Voltage systems to oversee design, operation, and maintenance of high voltage electrical systems at our chemical manufacturing facilities in Welland. The role involves working closely with the manufacturing team to optimize utility systems, reduce consumption, and ensure safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in high and medium voltage substation and distribution project planning, design, construction, and commissioning, with a good understanding of related requirements and limitations. This position reports to the Site Projects Group Manager.

Responsibilities include :

• Communicating with the primary electrical utility provider.
• Managing high and medium voltage protection, control, and power distribution systems.
• Designing and commissioning substations and power distribution (115kV / 13.8kV / 4160V / 600V or lower).
• Handling greenfield and brownfield projects, interconnecting smart devices, and understanding industrial networking and SCADA systems.
• Implementing fiber network relaying, redundancy, and station service controls.
• System commissioning, planning, and execution.
