Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a New Product Technician with one of our Global clients, located in Etobicoke.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience with bringing new products to manufacturing, a strong technical aptitude, and an excellent attention to detail coupled with electrical knowledge and a desire to work with a great team!

Responsibilities

Empower the team with your expertise by providing comprehensive technical training and support during product releases.

Conduct thorough inspections and testing of all Proto builds, documenting any anomalies or issues for swift resolution.

Perform failure analysis and repair tasks as needed to ensure the highest quality standards.

Collaborate closely with Test Engineers and Software Programmers to ensure smooth integration and successful new product launches.

Take charge of mechanical and electrical assembly of PCB assemblies during the critical NPI phase.

Oversee final assembly and shipping of products, ensuring that everything is delivered to spec and on time.

Handle materials with care, ensuring efficient flow throughout the production process.

Proactively identify and implement process improvements, streamlining operations and boosting productivity.

Qualifications

2-5 years of hands-on experience as an NPI Technician (or in a similar role) within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Strong technical acumen with the ability to read and interpret schematics and test data to troubleshoot effectively.

Proficient with electronic test equipment, including multimeters and other essential diagnostic tools.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify root causes and find innovative solutions.

High level of attention to detail and impeccable documentation practices to ensure accuracy and clarity.

Able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality systems, and lean principles, with a passion for continuous improvement.
