Position : Electrician – Hearst Sawmill.

Location : Hearst, ON.

GreenFirst is looking for an electrician to work within a team to perform maintenance on electrical and / or instrumentation and control systems, install repair, modify, and troubleshoot industrial equipment for electrical / electronic distribution and control (power and domestic).

  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as applicable regulations and laws.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform electrical work as required : installing, repairing, troubleshooting, testing, and analyzing equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical code specifications, blueprints, and circuit diagrams.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs on electrical equipment.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork, machine / panel documentation, and preventative maintenance records.
  • In emergencies make temporary or permanent repairs to minimize interruption of production.
  • Assisting on other duties to support the maintenance team to meet department requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Requirements :

  • Graduate of an Electrical Engineering Technology program or equivalent.
  • Valid Electrician License Construction & Maintenance (C&M) 309A or an Industrial Electrician 442A.
  • Must have good communication and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical prints.
  • Able to set priorities and work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong computing and troubleshooting ability.
  • Teamwork and self-starting work ethic.
  • Knowledge of Lockout : Isolation and de energization of all energy sources for the work area.
  • Bilingualism is an asset (French and English).

    GreenFirst recherche un(e) électricien(ne) pour travailler au sein d’une équipe afin d’effectuer la maintenance des systèmes électriques et / ou d’instrumentation et de contrôle, d’installer, de réparer, de modifier et de dépanner les équipements industriels pour la distribution et le contrôle électriques / électroniques (puissance et domestique).

  • Responsabilités :

  • Effectuer les travaux électriques nécessaires : installer, réparer, dépanner, tester et analyser les équipements.
  • Lire et interpréter les spécifications du code de l’électricité, les plans et les schémas de circuits.
  • Réaliser des programmes d’entretien préventif sur les équipements électriques.
  • Remplir les documents appropriés, la documentation sur les machines / panneaux et les dossiers d’entretien préventif.
  • En cas d’urgence, effectuer des réparations temporaires ou permanentes afin de minimiser l’interruption de la production.
  • Participer à d’autres tâches pour aider l’équipe d’entretien à répondre aux besoins du service.
  • Maintenir un environnement de travail propre, sûr et organisé.
  • Exigences :

  • Diplôme d’électrotechnique ou équivalent.
  • Licence d’électricien valide Construction & Maintenance (C&M) 309A ou électricien industriel 442A.
  • Doit avoir de bonnes aptitudes à la communication et au leadership.
  • Doit être capable de lire et de comprendre les schémas électriques.
  • Capacité à fixer des priorités et à travailler avec un minimum de supervision.
  • Solides compétences en informatique et en dépannage.
  • Travail d’équipe et éthique de travail autonome.
  • Connaissance de la consignation : Isolement et mise hors tension de toutes les sources d’énergie dans la zone de travail.
  • Le bilinguisme est un atout (français et anglais).
