Location : Chetwynd and Dawson Creek, BC

Salary :

Description :

Northern Lights College's Continuing Education Department is looking to hire an individual with experience in the Trades and has an interest in passing along their knowledge to our youth.

Camps will run in each location in July and August for a duration of 5 consecutive days, from 9 : 30am – 3 : 00pm and will be focused on youth in grades 8 through 12.

  • The successful candidate will be required to successfully pass a Police Information Check prior to the start of the contract.

Qualifications : Required :

  • Minimum of five years experience working in one or more of the following trades : carpentry, plumbing, electrical, millwright (An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.)
  • Understanding of safety in the classroom and teaching the students
  • Committed to student motivation and success
  • Ability to collaborate as an effective team member
  • Current, valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of rules and regulation of specific trade
  • Preferred :

  • Red seal certification, or equivalent in carpentry mechanical, plumbing, electrical, millwright
