The Volunteer’s Role

Cuso International is looking for a motivated and experienced professional to join our Volunteering Cooperation Program in Moshi, Tanzania.

Working alongside local trainers and technical experts, you will help improve teaching methods, enhance training materials, and ensure programs reflect current industry needs.

  • Deliver Training of Trainers workshops focused on adult learning and competency-based training
  • Mentor and coach trainers through observations, co-facilitation, and ongoing feedback
  • Introduce practical teaching methods such as simulations, case studies, and workplace learning
  • Support collaboration between trainers, industry partners, and international experts
  • Help implement quality assurance systems for training delivery and continuous improvement
  • Develop a sustainability plan to support long-term knowledge transfer and impact

Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree or advanced diploma in Mining Engineering, Underground Mining, Mineral Engineering, Technical Education, Adult Education, or a related field.

Essential Background:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in underground mining operations, mining training, or mining workforce development.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Training of Trainers (ToT) programs
  • Experience developing or implementing competency-based technical training curricula.
  • Experience working with vocational, technical, or post-secondary training institutions.
  • Experience mentoring instructors or technical trainers.

What’s in it for YOU? A life-changing experience!
