Job descriptionComplete pre-inspections of the vehicle each day before operating the truck Responsible to document all inspections to ensure equipment in maintained in proper working order Report immediately to the Shipping Manager in there are any safety or environmental issues Drive AZ trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods to and from designated locations Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts, are completed accurately and on time Safely secure loads on the truck for every delivery Adhere to all traffic law as and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, while operating the vehicle Use the correct loading, unloading, and dumping procedures Minor truck maintenance may be required Keep the truck clean and in good working condition, and report any maintenance issues to the Shipping Manager immediately Represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with customers and the public Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies High school diploma or equivalent Valid AZ license is required Minimum 3 years' experience as an AZ Driver is preferred Knowledge of federal and provincial regulations governing transportation of goods Must have a clean Drivers Abstract Must be able to drive a flatbed truck Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle Strong work ethics and positive attitude Ability to manage a fast-paced and physically demanding position Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Eight hour shift with flexibility required Long periods of driving required Exposure to loud noise and heat May be required to lift up to 50lbs Overtime as needed
