Job description

Adecco is currently seeking a dedicated and organized Scheduler Dispatcher to join our client's team in Hamilton, ON. This is a temporary position offering a competitive salary of $24 per hour. The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling, dispatching, and customer service, with a strong ability to manage data entry and work under pressure.

  • Pay rate : $24 / hour.
  • Location : Hamilton, ON
  • Shifts : Monday-Friday 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm
  • Job type : Temporary | Full-time

  • Responsibilities :

  • Answering phone, receiving / sorting mail and responding to email
  • Receiving / assisting public, deliveries, community partners and staff coming to pick up orders, supplies or drop off out of province proof of vaccination paperwork
  • Assisting with assembling supplies for harm reduction kits (i.e. following written instructions, assembling needed supplies, putting required items in a bag, tracking of number of bags completed)
  • Assistance with stocking copy and supply rooms
  • Requirements :

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Previous communications / dispatching experience related to duties listed above normally acquired through a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Superior telephone manners with good voice quality, diction, and articulation. Good listening skills with demonstrated ability to assess urgency of emergency and non-emergency calls.
  • A technical knowledge or previous understanding of two-way radio systems.
  • Possess demonstrated exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills, gained through practical experience working in a customer service environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to relate to the public, staff, elected officials and other municipalities in a pleasant and courteous manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level. Must be able to input data quickly and accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team using tact, good judgment and initiative in a fast-paced work environment.
