Job Title : Director of FinanceLength : 6 Month Contract (Potential for Extension)Location : Vaughan (4 days in-office)Pay Rate : $60-65 per hour Job Summary : The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management and a deep understanding of financial regulations and best practices.Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals and objectives.Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.Manage cash flow, financial planning, and risk management activities.Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.Support business development initiatives with financial analysis and due diligence.Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
