Job descriptionDegree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field 1–2 years in a financial setting or equivalent experience Experience working in a non‑profit environment Experience working in a licensed child‑care setting considered an asset Computer literate and proficient with Sage, Quickbooks, Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience navigating an HRIS and payroll platform Up‑to‑date Standard First Aid and CPR (C) Current negative Criminal Reference Check (within 6 months) Current Immunisation Records and Health Assessment (following RCDHU) WHMIS, Safety in 4 Steps, AODA, CCEYA certificate (or ability to complete) A dependable vehicle with proof of a Class G driver’s licence and insurance
Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centres are licensed, non‑profit child care centres with three current locations in Renfrew County. We are expanding and hope to have six licensed locations by the end of 2026. We offer Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and School‑Aged Programs, depending on the location.
We require a Finance and Administrative Assistant with an anticipated start date in early March 2026. The role is part‑time (37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours daily) and pays $25.00 per hour plus 4 % holiday pay.
In this entry‑level position, the assistant will support the Manager‑Finance and Administration with financial tasks such as payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, financial reports, digitising financial documents, and any other duties as required. The role is based mainly at our head office in Arnprior but requires flexibility to travel to all centres in Renfrew County as needed.

- Manage accounts receivable and payable
- Assistance with budgeting and financial reports
- Digitise and maintain financial records
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned
